ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK OF CAMESA-REBOLLEDO

Very near Julióbriga sits this splendid archaeological field overlapping the Roman and early medieval structures. Today I dug considered only part of a much larger settlement, which brings to light baths appear to be for public use, and that everything must somehow be related to a military camp established nearby, just over the North, on a hill. On the remains of Roman burials overlap the immediate aftermath, and early medieval, and a church of the same era that is only slightly more than the perimeter. All this is completed with an interpretation center very educational, entertaining and fun, and with guided tours throughout.

The archaeological site is located between the towns of Camesa and Rebolledo. To get there, take exit 116 of the A67, passing by the cement Mataporquera by the CA-284, cross the railroad tracks, the river Camesa and then continue on until SV-2111.

Information and reservations: phone 626 325 932. Closed 1 and January 6, 24, 25 and 31 December.
