Barcena Mayor is a village famous for being declared a historical artistic, being one of the oldest municipalities in the region ... and its forests. This time we will follow a path that leads to the heart of one of them: The confluence of the river and creek Sources Argorza results in a different place and beautiful. It is a walk with no difficulty, but is part of a much larger route, which runs circular left the mountains south of Barcena Mayor, and not described in this brief guide.

At Barcena Mayor should continue on the road leading to the village and that without going between houses leaves him right. That leaves the village road southbound, between hedges, farms and views of the surrounding mountains, leaving the river to the right. At one point it crosses and reaches a praderío that serves as a recreational area. Alli leave the car if possible, otherwise we leave it in the parking you have left at the entrance of the village.

Continue in the recreation area and walk down the runway Argorza nearest the river, which will continue all the time. At first the forest is somewhat cleared, but gradually becomes more and more dense. The road is in excellent condition, just have to let go and follow it. Sometimes crosses the river and climbs a bit with some riots, but then returns to continue parallel to it going deeper into his head. At about 8km we reach the confluence of the creek Argorza Fuentes, who comes from the right. You have to cross the latter by the channel and follow the valley Argorza that upstream renamed and is now called Ants. To do this we take a path to the right, up, and within minutes you will reach the goal of the walk.
